Cameron Williams, a junior at Merrill West High in California, won the gold section of the boys 300-meter hurdles in 40.18 seconds at the West Coast Relays at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Williams rebounded from a sixth-place effort in the gold section of the 110-meter hurdles in 18.21 seconds.
