John Lester, a senior at Amador Valley High in California and a Stanford signee, won the boys invitational 800 meters in a state-leading 1:51.62 at the West Coast Relays at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis, Calif. Lester also took second in the invitational 400 in 49.71.
