Tiara Adeniji, a senior at Clovis North High in California, along with freshman teammate Maya Cordoba, ran the first two legs for the state-leading 4x400-meter relay to win the invitational section in 3:52.05 at the West Coast Relays at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis, Calif. The duo also contributed to Clovis North winning the invitational 4x100 relay in 47.85. Adeniji and Cordoba also finished second (57.57) and third (58.54) in the invitational 400. Adeniji added a third-place effort in the invitational 200 in a wind-aided 25.38, with Cordoba finishing fifth in the seeded 200 in a wind-aided 26.21.
