Buchanan High of California teammates Sydney Sundgren and Sierra Cornett took the top two spots in the girls gold section of the 1,600 meters at the West Coast Relays at their home Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Sundgren, a junior, clocked 4:53.13 and Cornett, a freshman, ran 4:53.71. Sundgren also secured sixth place in the gold section of the 800 meters in 2:18.81.
